I will be installing a remote mounting soon for the oil pressure sensor, and came upon this video to help me along
I enjoy watching backyard mechanics, regular guys dealing with dirty engines and simple well used tools. Just like many of us!
This channel is not exclusively about C5’s, but has a lot of practical C5 content. We need to support these small channels to help get stuff done.. And…it’s entertaining
I could probably be a YT star if I video'd everything I've done to the Z06. But then nothing would ever get done because I'd be editing video!
I am a huge supporter of the video guide. Headache jobs like repairing the seat rail.... man.... completely worth skimming through one of Lyle's videos (C&S Corvette) for it one night so I didn't have to figure it out as I went.
We are lucky. Why don't you go talk to the 4th gen F-baody guys about how easy it is to swap the oil pressure sensor lol.
I hear that. To any of the C5 guys that haven't looked under a 4th gen hood, you should! Do it about the time you start thinking about how hard it is to work on your C5!!
Draining the coolant, the 1st step it says to do in the video, is ABSOLULTLY NOT necessary. The C5 uses a dry intake.
Its a dry intake, but the coolant does pass through the TB. Like mentioned below though, just unbolting the TB from the intake would prevent any need to drain or spill it.
