Texas Drivetrain Performance remote bleeder line clearance
Hey all. I just pulled my c5 apart for a clutch and flywheel job, and decided while I was in there it was smart to get a new slave cylinder, and so I got a TDP remote bleeder with it(that's where I ordered the rest of the parts.) After installing the whole back end of the driveline of the car 4 different times, troubleshooting why the bleeder -an fitting was leaking, I can confidently say that there is negative clearance between the bell housing and the bleeder line fitting. This causes the bleeder line to be pushed crooked when the torque tube is tightened down to the bell housing, and when you press in the clutch, it will leak. I've customized my bell housing to have more clearance with a Dremel and a few sanding bits. Be aware of this, it will save you a lot of time and headache. I haven't seen anything about this on the forum, so I'm assuming it's because everyone's using the tick performance bleeder line, and I guess that one clears the bell housing. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Who knows. I'd steer clear of the TDP line just because of this bullshit, maybe it's the same part as Tick uses, maybe not, who knows.
