I purchased a usb adapter device to be able to listen to the music on my phone and receive/make phone calls and when I went to remove it and the inner portion became loose.
Has anyone had to replace or repair their cigarette lighter and if so how hard of a project is it,
I ran an aux line from the factory head unit using the cd changer connection and hard mounted the other end inside the center console storage bin. Using the charger port inside there I now run a BT adapter so it always has power and it connected to the radio. Best of all - it remains unseen and out of the way.

Every few years, I put a VERY LIGHT coating of dielectric grease on the male 12v plugs I use. I've actually used it on a few, stiff 110v outlets on the house. Stuff works great, IF you dont glob it on. Old guys call that "a little dab will do ya!!"
replaced my lighter when I changed out the 4 way flasher switch, an EZ fix, now it's like new again..these cars have electrical bugs all over them.
the other day battery needed a charge, I charged it for 8 hrs on a 10amp charger, started the car & the ck engine light come's on.
Drove the car around, started the car a number of times, due to the stops I made, the Ck engine light went off, it reset itself!!!??? WTH??
It's hard to make out any detail in the picture, but if the depressions aren't very deep, you could use some Dura-Glass body filler to get them filled in. Just be sure to sand off all the paint and rough up the area completely before you put any filler on there so it will bond tight
