What is the "go-to" for delrin control arm bushings? Will be replacing all my control arm bushings in the next month and want to upgrade to delrin. Spherical bearing would be ideal, but the buy-in is too steep. Car is a daily driver and will see a LOT of time at the dragstrip and will be making north of 1k whp.
I have had the Van Steel kit on my car for over a year now without issues. I like that they also offer install service. I took all the control arms off and sent them to Van Steel. Then all I did was bolt them back on. Super simple and saved me a bunch of time.
Sorry to pollute the OP's thread with my lazy man's question, but are there any pros / cons to delrin over say, OE rubber (i.e. new control arms) for a daily driver? I do push the car in the corners, but have no intention of tracking it and it's very difficult to push a C5 near it's limits on public highways.
I'm currently contemplating the economics of rebuilding vs replacing my fronts with a set of new arms with OE rubber.
I notice that the front uppers slide back and forth on the pivots. Looking at their mechanical arrangement I can't imagine how new OE arms would be much better.
I considered Delrin, but went with the AMT Monoball kit.
More coin but worth it to me.
Not harsh and love the feel !!
Mark and AMT are TOP SHELF.
Full disclosure.
