Programming key fob question
The other night while half awake,i read a thread about programming the key fob and locking system sothat when I approach the car or walk away the doors lock or/and unlock. Can anyone explain how to set up the system to do this? thanks in advance!! :thumbs:

I see you have an '01, I believe that option (passive locking) was dropped after '99 The early cars have a small switch on the key fob to switch from passive to non passive, the newer cars do not.

Don't worry about it, I have it on my 98 and don't like it. You are not missing anything. First of all my FOB is about twice the thickness of the one on my wife's Tahoe and my Z-71 pickup (sold Z-71 to buy vette!). The other thing is that if you stay close to the car or hang your keys close to the car (like on the hook by the door by the garage) it keeps locking and unlocking your doors. Drove me nuts when I first bought mine! I had it enabled for about 15 minutes and it kept honking the horn. Neighbors probably thought I was a little goofy.

Thanks guys. I met James *** ,owner of *** Chevrolet in Bradenton Fl he mentioned the switch on the key fob ,whixh i dont have so i guess the 01 dont do it. :seeya
