My exhaust rattles going down the road or starting my car it started with the new exhaust system i got, i got headers and an x-pipe but the noise isnt coming from down there its coming from the rear passenger side and i think i know what the culprit is. what can i do about this?
Might help to know what header/x-pipe combo you are using. If its a reputable brand you should be able to get it to fit starting at the header and working your way back. I had a hard time getting mine not to touch but eventually worked it out.
Otherwise your options are beating/bending it for clearance or sending it back for something that works
As above you may have to start and the front and work your way back. If the aftermarket pieces came "a little off" as they sometimes do, you will have to remove them, heat/bend/squish....etc to get them to work. It could be a simple as "bending" the "X" pipe a bit or "sliding" the fittings in or out before you clamp sort of a moving the X pipe side to side. How is the distance on the other side?
How do the exhaust tips line up? That will tell something.
I have texas speed as well, so I really think you can get them to fit right. It’s been a minute but believe I torqued the headers all the way first and did all the adjusting from the header back
I have the 3in mid pipe on mine, it took a couple tries to get it not to hit. Loosing up the mufflers and the mid pipes enough to twist them till they don't hit
