Decided to take a 2 gallon can of gas and drive to see if the jet pump is transferring. Must be was able to put 300 miles on and figured I better not push it any farther and got tired of pushing reset. Filled up with 14.5 gallons, gas gauge still only went to 1/2 but at least I believe the pumps working
Sounds like pumps are fine, and just sender units in question. There are threads that describe the actual sender logic, so it might be possible to narrow it down to one or the other — although if you’re all the way into dropping a sender, I’d think about changing both.
Apologies if you’ve covered it in a different thread, but have you tried the Techron treatment?
Thanks I have been using Techron since a got it 2 years ago and at times I think it’s working than the big drop. Called a Vette shop in my area and wanted about $2400 to do the job I can do a lot but don’t think I want to tackle this job. It’s just very annoying but at least I know I can go 300 miles

Is yours a 2000 like your profile shows?
Edit: Nevermind, found your post in the Fuel Level Sensor thread...
Those guys must have quoted you the complete pump assemblies or mistakenly think the tanks need to be dropped, which yours won't. It's a 4 hour job and less than $150 worth of parts to replace just the fuel sensors.
You're definitely going to have to micro-manage the people at the shop to get it done at a reasonable price. Nobody in the profession works on things anymore, they just replace complete assemblies.
I regularly walk out of my local parts store cursing them because they don't stock any common rebuild parts for a Rochester Quadrajet, possibly the most mass-produced 4 bbl in history. But they do have a $500 Edelbrock badged Carter AVS.
Yes you get ripped off by all but not much you can do about it except pay the big bucks. Loved the old days when you work on them yourself and no computers to deal with.

I have a 2000 I'm just getting ready to do myself. I just got a new fire extinguisher, just in case. Senders ran under $150. Even at a $150/hr labor rate, it would be around $750 parts and labor, NOT $2,400. DAMN!!! Senders must use 24k gold potentiometers!!!! Do it yourself, and get $2,250 worth of pump gas premium-FREE!!!!

Yes I would like to but being in my 70s I just don’t know how confident I would feel, probably just keep resetting the DIC and filling up every 200-300 miles

I love the can do spirit at this age and only hope to have as much **** and vinegar as yall at this age. But to be fair...this job will gas a mid 40 dude such as myself. $2,400 is fair considering the amount of work involved...IFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF...you are knocking a bunch of while your in theres out as well. Sending units are 250'ish on rock auto so I presume most of this cost to be labor. If you could replace the rear main, clutch, rebuild torque tube, etc while they have it apart, I'd say $2,400'ish in labor would be fair to R&R the old girl and give you confidence back in it. I to have this job in que and am waffling on whether I wan to outsource it or do it myself. Ego and pride will probably win the day, but boy...nothing better then dropping it off and letting it be someone else problem lol I curse to much as it is ahahahaha

I think you're mistaken thinking the driveline and tanks need to be dropped on this one. The OP's car is a 2000, the biggest parts that need to be removed are the rear wheels.

Ahhh...good catch. I presume FFS. If not, yeah swap them puppies out. 2.5hr job with beer included
