The seats have a circuit breaker that provides power to the seat, have you checked that the connector from the seat to the wiring harness is connected.
You can't adjust or move the passenger seat of the car its been an issue ever since i've got the car. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
Its the switch. Both my lame *** seats are sitting in storage. I replaced mine with some racing seats off amazon. comfier and a parasitic draw all solved for $500. If you don't mind manual adjustments...its the only way to go my friend.
Really the only reason i havent done that yet is because i have the commemorative edition so it says it on the seats the badges are gone them suckers were crusty and old and just really on their last legs so there isn't really anything else signifying its the commemorative edition

I get it man. I looked for someone who reconditioned seats and really didnt find anyone I felt either wanted to do the job or couldnt really guarantee operation (aka warranty). I drive my ride a lot so comfort was paramount to me. Saving the seats accomplishes keeping it "original per-se" so if I ever sell (I wont) the new owner can put them wack *** seats back in if they want lol it not surprising though that my mercedes AMG REAL leather seats are from 2006 and still operate like they day they were new and have held up. Corvette is GMs top of the line and here we are discussing a subject 10000 other people have issues with as well lol

Great point lol, I have looked into new seats i guess i'll put the old cankered up ones in storage or something
I had the same issue with both my seats on my '97. Took both seats out (very easy) and inspected the motors some of the metal rods were jammed so I freed those, but also both of the switches were stuffed. Put a multimeter on some of the pins and tabs and no continuity.
Switches are £30 on ebay, now works perfectly. Easy to change - 2 screws and remove the recliner lever.
