anybody use ICE32 in their ac when recharging? if so what do you think about it. noticed it comes in 3 oz.w/dye. says my system needs 26 oz. so two cans of 12's=24 and the 3 oz. ice32 would be 27. would you think 1 oz. overfill would be bad? just getting my stuff ready for a vacuum and recharge.
I've never been a fan of using a dye unless it was a last resort to locate a leak. It stays in the system and in some cases can foul up the compressor valves. Thats just my 2Cents

An ounce of overcharge is not going to make a perceptible difference. There will be a tiny increase in compressor discharge pressure and tiny increase in evaporator air outlet temperature when running at high a/c load
i am skeptical about these miracle additives. Is it possible to get the improvements ICE claims? Perhaps. The lubricant in our V7 compressors was selected in the early 1990’s when GM/Harrison converted to R134a. Many lubricants were tested, all with the goal of meeting compressor durability requirements with minimal compressor design changes. Fast forward 30 years and could someone develop an additive package for the existing system? Maybe.
Even if the miracle additive works, will you ever notice the small a/c performance improvements they claim?
thanks for the reply book. i'm a skeptic and i've always been "show me". hope to get back to the ac project net week. had the high pressure hose blow out. new one should be here next week. just finished both sides of the "floppy door mirror" repair.

I wouldn't worry about the extra ounce. My 2000 model takes 1-3/4lbs of 134a, which is 28 ounces, if my math is correct......
