I replaced the fan speed control circuit on my 2000 coupe about 3 weeks ago because I only had High speed. All speeds came back immediately, so that was the issue. However, as these things go, I was out enjoying my A/C yesterday and the thing quit working again, only High working now.
So, what is killing the fan speed controller? I noted no water or condensation in the fan area when I replaced the board. I am thinking the fan motor may be going bad and pulling too much amperage? Any input?
I’m assuming your taking about the blower motor control module…if you bought an aftermarket module that may be your problem especially if it’s a Dorman part…they are JUNK !!
Not to hijack the thread but my fan speed is controllable but hi is pretty lame. It does blow thru all the vents so it's not bad blend door issue. How hard to replace the resistor?

I believe it was a GM part, and yes it is the blower motor control module that I reference.
