So recently I swapped my BCM.. I unhooked my battery which is new. I swapped my BCM and now i have a no start condition.
I have decades of time turning wrenches for a living however I have been working as a warranty inspector for the past 17.
My battery is not the problem and my cables are secure.
I went back to my old BCM and have the same issue.
I have done the key on for 11 minute procedure and the key off for 30 seconds etc etc several times. I even used a stop watch while doing it.
My security light stays on.
My car is stock other then a after market stereo.
My car has never had a check engine light or any fault codes since I have had it. It's never had a no start issue before.
My car is pretty much normal other then my parking lights up front have always stayed on when the car is running.
I swapped the BCM because I have been dealing with a wiper issue on and off for a while.
The wiper motor has been swapped along with the wiper switch. Sometimes the wipers just stay on.
About the only wiper related hardware I have left to swap is the transmission which I just purchased.
I know I will need a tech 2 device to program the new BCM according to a friend who works on all of the Corvette's at a local dealer in the ATL area.
Sounds like a VATS problem if the security lights stays on, you might inspect the wiring on the connectors at the BCM. The wires that come from the Ignition switch contacts that press against the key resistor pellet are on one of the BCM connectors.
