My family passed and left me a 99 c5 they bought new. I came to MS and drove it around, like stepping into a new car just hitting 30k. I left went back to NC for almost a year, the battery was dead when i made it back. I charged it to where it said it was a good battery. Drove it down the rd, everything was perfect. Made it home wouldn't start back up, did some research, and jumped the tdr relay. In park, e break up, took off and dragged me thru the garage door. Started again with wife in car, tru the tdr relay, same thing in every trans position forward. Has anyone ever had this happen and any advice , or direction would be greatly appreciated?
Automatic or manual transmission? If auto the shift cable could be broken and the car is in gear. The neutral safety switch will stop the engine from cranking if you are not really in park or neutral.

C5MSG probably nailed it, broken shifter cable. Car is not in Park or Neutral so it won't crank.
While your mechanic is looking at it have them check the parking brake shoes, they may be worn. Not uncommon for the self adjusters to get gunked up and not work well if they are not used often.
