I purchased the front corner assembly from Vette Lights and installed per instructions. The instructions say that “you may have hyper flash after installation but should go away after starting the car - WRONG - Cole Manzelli is the owner of Vette Lights and very, very helpful. I broke 2 wires during the installation on one of the corner markers and he sent out a new replacement. Couldn’t ask for better customer service - the guy is super great. It’s the weekend and Vette Lights is currently closed.
My question is - how do I get rid of the hyper flash? The assemblies came with resistors, which I thought were supposed to eliminate the rapid flash. It’s doing this on both sides front and rear.
Anybody else experience this?Any help would be appreciated.
Well, this really is perplexing. I had a battery tender on the car while I was working on it since I was also doing some other work on the interior. I checked that both the resistors were in and took the car out for a spin. Voltmeter started at 13.9 and worked its way back to 13.7 and that’s where it stayed. I checked the turn signals while driving - the right one acted normally - no hyperflash, but the left turn did not work correctly - hyperflash. I also tried the hazard flasher and it worked perfectly. I thought, well maybe I have a bad resistor - NOT. Got back to the house and pulled in the garage and tried the turn signals one more time. No go, they both reverted back to hyperflash????
