Hi, Is there a camera setup that would give similar record of your track time as the C7 PDR?
I'd like to get one for my '02 Z06. Does anyone have one on theirs??
I got the trackaddict app and I'm ready to order a camera, but I'm confused. Does the camera overlay on the Trackaddict?? Do I need a bluetooth? I found a OBD2 dongle too.
But I'm lost with a camera.
So following the advice from G Loc, I've obtained the TrackAddict, and I just ordered the Garmin Mini 2 dashcam, and the BLCKTEC 430 Bluetooth OBD2 dongel.
I have an old Iphone (Google Pixel 2) to use for the monitor. If you see a problem with any of these, please let me know so I can make a change in the orders.
Thanks.
You can save yourself the expense of an external camera and simply mount the phone to your windshield with a good quality suction cup mount. It doesn't block much of the view and those mounts are very sturdy.
If you want telemetry overlays to show up in the exported videos you'll also need a copy of RaceRender (there's a few version and two paid ones) - otherwise that info only shows up when played on your device.
Can I use the camera on my phone at the same time as the Trackaddict app? I guess that's where I'm confused, that would be great. I bought a windshield mount for the phone, That and the Dongle will be here tomorrow.

I use Harrys Lap Timer on iphone with an external GPS receiver. I just got the microphone setup working - this is my tuned Ford Focus ST not long ago - first time with sticky track tires and turned a lap nearly as fast as my vette! Got some of these little "wind sock" things to put over the mic for next outling.
