C5 converiable window repair

Although I could not find any videos on the ‘net’ for the C5 convertible rear window re-glue using the 3M, I did find a video for doing a Mini Cooper rear window repair using the 3M product.
Using the video, I followed the instructions for cleaning the glass and gluing procedure but added these steps for the C5:
1. Remove the two electric de-frost wires on each side of the window by gently pulling the connectors out. No need to take the glass out. Just clean the glass and remove old glue stuff from the fabric and glass.
2. Open the top and put a 12 inch brace between to windshield top and the convertible top edge so it loosens the fabric.
3. Put small pillows pushing against the glass from the inside.
4. If you use Suction Cup Clamps, a tip; use dawn soap mixed with water on the cup underside. It will keep the suction cup firmly attached to the glass. It really holds.
5. My chemical engineer neighbor suggested not doing the glue repair in the hot sun. I did the repair in the shaded garage.
6. Do the top and sides first then let dry for about 3 hours. Then do the bottom.
7. I did the cleanup 12 hours later.
Hopefully, this repair is permanent. I have no desire to replace a perfect good top just to fix the rear detachment window issue.

Moving this to C5 Tech.
