Default New window regulator seems “on point.”

I have had a problem with my 26 year old window regulator. The cable has a stay which likes to pop out of its track, and the rubber protecting the bottom of the window is getting old, flat and dry (kind of like me).

So, tired of battling this continuous problem, I have bought and installed a Dorman unit from Amazon.

Of course, I received an unbranded one (which makes sense, because they’re all produced by the same factory, to the same specifications, by the same people using the same components, and they’re all about the same price ~ $50) so I just put it in my door and fired it up.

To be honest - it actually seems in every regard a superior product to the original - slicker-running, stronger, with nicer fasteners, a better motor, and much tighter cable.

That is all. Sorry I did not take pictures!

I have used 4 of them. 2 on my car and 2 on my son's car. They have lasted 3 years so far.
