Needing help badly with my c5

adison from Paducah ky having issues with car I’ve been doing re search on it and done everything to bypass to ignition switch cleaning ground wires and plugs in accordion tube. Still getting reduced power and no communiCation with bcm

None of my 7 Corvettes were C5s, but I lived in Paducah for 4 years, last 2 years of H. S. & 2 years of Jr. College MANY years ago.

You might have a bad BCM, there are several businesses that specialize in repairs to automotive electronics modules. One of them is G7 Computers, contact them and then send them your BCM for testing and repairs.

Bump how can I test the bcm? I can jump the theft relay the purple and red wire and the car starts. If our in gear it will die like the fuel was cut off of something. I bypassed the cats by reading the resistance of the key and wiring a resistor In.

You really can't test the BCM yourself, you have to send it to someone like G7 Computers. A bad BCM will not allow the car to crank over because it is not providing a ground to the TDR, you might try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes and reconnect this resets the BCM, but you have to do this everytime you want to start the car.

if you caan jump the theft relay then the car will start I would look at the contacts on the key switch
When they get dirty they will cause problems like you are having
