Ive noticed that hot air only works for about 15-20 minutes then it gradually gets colder. I turn up the heat and it stays warm again for another minute and then goes back to being cold.
Have you cleaned your radiator and condenser fins? They collect a surprising amount of debris. My AC was acting like yours, where the cool air was intermittent. I jacked the car up, and crawled underneath and there was grass, twigs, all kinds of junk on the fins.
Cleaning that off solved all the problems. And of course, the engine ran cooler too 👍

Any suggestions/thoughts?
what do you mean by “turn up the heat”? Do you have the automatic system? If so, do you mean adjusting the temperature setting, say from 68 degrees to 72 degrees?

adjusting the temp setting. anything below 80 gets warm and then slowly gets colder. pretty weird
If you have the dual climate control system here is some input. If you have the manual controls ignore this. I know that if the temperature actuators do not get a position signal they default to the cold position. So by "turning the heat up" they drive to the hot position and if the "hold" signal is not there they will go back to cold. But to me that would sound like something funky in the climate controller. I converted to manual HVAC so I took all these measurements, this is how I know.
