I had a bunch of codes and I cleaned all the ground positions under the hood. But these two codes still persist. Any idea why?

More than likely, your blend door actuators are shot. The plastic gears inside split open, the result of being pressed on a steel shaft for years. When the plastic gets old and brittle, it cracks from the pressure. Then the gear spins on the shaft, instead of indexing the shaft to the desired position. When you clear the code, if you listen closely, you can hear the motor try to move the shaft to the desired position, which then fails, and sets the code again. Sucks. At least, thats what happens on my 2000.....

No point in repairing a 20 year old actuator. Plus, the '97-2000 model actuators have no internal positive stop. So when you pull fuse 27 (?) in the interior fusebox (5 minute minimum) to have the actuators reset/re-index (if no broken gear!), they can go past center, and throw a code. Use only 2001-up actuators, as they are updated with the positive stops. Best thing I can recommend is call Lyle or Steve@C&S Corvettes in Sarasota, Florida. They'll make sure you get the updated actuators, and explain it better than I can. Phone# is: (800) 533-4650, or (941) 923-5064. They know their stuff. Best of luck....
