Default Service ABS/Active Handling Code Only Above 40 mph

The second I hit 40 mph, I get the Service ABS/Active Handling error. No check engine light, but the other two lights and code C1234. I did recently replace my 8+ year old battery, cleaned the terminals, basket, and now (based on below posts) I plan on removing and cleaning the ground underneath as I think I got it wet while cleaning the terminals - I can see the white corrosion on the ground point.

But, while searching I didn't see anything related to the error only coming on after 40 mph? Is there significance to this?

I"ll update tomorrow as I'm off all week due to a positive COVID test!!! - gonna change the oil, other stuff and clean the grounds!

Following Bill Curlee's post - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tion-long.html and Dadaroo - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-dic-code.html

1998 convertible, 67K miles.

This is a left rear wheel speed sensor which will not illuminate the check engine light…not a ground issue so don’t waste your time !!…find an auto electric shop in your area if you are not mechanically inclined.

Should these leak like this? I pulled the battery and was liquid in the battery tray. Didn’t smell. Maybe water evaporation from the trickle

charging?

Sprinkle a little baking soda on it…if it reacts it’s battery acid !!

I just returned it. Got it at Costco a couple weeks ago and just put in the new one. Back on the trickle charger.

*Update to original post. I changed the oil, removed the battery tray, cleaned underneath, including the grounds. Started it and now had two TCS codes, same C1234 and now C1255. However as the C1234 code tripped at 40 mph, I cleared the codes and drove for about 10-15 minutes and it didn't throw those codes again.

We shall see.... 1998 so I hope the C1255 isnt now the EBTCM code of death.

Well new battery leaks too outside the vent. Put baking soda on it and it bubbles. Interstate battery too.

Also, still no TCS codes after driving it all morning.
