Door lock modules
Is there a way to test recently purchased door lock modules before taking the door panel off to install them?
It’s my understanding that the lock module is no longer available through GM or aftermarket. I purchased two of them at the Carlisle, PA swap meet. I want to see if they are good before trying to install them or having my dealer install them. If anyone knows of a way to test them first, I would appreciate your feedback.

Please don't take your car to a dealer to install these. Taking an interior door panel off is incredibly easy.
If it's your first time doing this, you can probably take the panel off, R&R the module and replace the panel in less than 30 minutes.
The passenger side should subsequently be ~15mins

Just have patience because the plastic push pins are kind of long compared to other cars. Use a pry tool on the bottom corner to pull the panel away. It won't pull the panel completely away but enough to get your fingers under it and slowly pop out the remaining pins.
