Default C7 GS wheels on base C5?

I found a set of C7 GS wheels in good condition by me and I'm trying to figure out if they will fit (easily) on my base C5. Best thing I've been able to find so far is a hard maybe with spacers. Anyone done it before or know for sure?

Aside from fit, how is the ride going from 17/18" to 19/20"?

Thanks!

I was trying to figure out exactly what wheels will fit my C5 too forpete. If you look at forum vendor House of Wheels they show the various offsets on their reproduction page: https://www.houseofwheelsonline.com/corvette_copies.php
You can see on that page there were several different offsets for the C7 (GS is not mentioned):2015-19 C7 ZO6 reproduction black gloss shown. Available also in triple plated chrome.
  • 17x8.5 offset +56
    18x9.5 offset +40 & +57
    18x8.5 offset +56
18x12 offset +59 black gloss only
    19x8.5 offset +56
    19x10 offset +40 56 & 79
    19x12 offset +59
    20x10 offset +79
    20x12 offset +59

The C5 shows the following:
2000-2004 Chevy Corvette Chrome
  • 17x8.5 Offset +56
  • 18x9.5 Offset +54
So you can see there are wheels with the +56 offset that might fit but nothing with exactly +54, and there are probably other fitment considerations too.
Regarding ride quality, using a 19/20" means less sidewall so there isn't as much tire there to soak up bumps. And the C7s had a cracking issue on stock wheels so many people replaced them with fully forged wheels. Whether that cracking issue would be present if used on a C5 is anyone's guess.

If they're true GS cup wheels that are in true GS sizes, they'll bolt right up and stick right out...no spacers needed

How does one know if they are true GS wheels? The listing doesn't give much info, I'm going to look at them this weekend. About all I have so far is "2-20x12 and 2-19x10"

^ those look like true cup wheels in true GS sizes, not repros made with narrower widths intended for other vehicles.

They will bolt up to your car but they're much wider than what the C5 was made for so they are gonna poke out beyond the fenders...if you're okay with that look then go for it

The specs for GS wheels are 19x10 +40mm and 20x12 +59mm BTW

Thanks! I found this thread specifically for 12" wheels - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ly-pics-4.html

I think I'm ok with some poke as long as they don't rub.

I put on 18x9.5 56mm+ offset on all four corners on my 99 and they fit well with no issues.

Well the guy sold them before I could get to them anyway!

Anyone have experience with OE Wheels LLC? These seem to be a decent option and a lifetime structural warranty - https://www.oewheelsllc.com/18-Fits-...0-5-17x9-5-SET
