fuel leaking?

fuel leaking?
last night when i got home from work i parked in the garage, a few mins later i had to go out and get somthing from the car and i smelled fuel! first time i ever noticed it. checked lines and looked for any leaks but i could not find any, also could not locate the exact spot where i could smell it from. backed the car out and took it around the block, parked it back again and no fumes.
i dont get it, is this common it might have been happening for awhile but i never noticed it before last nite... :confused:

That seems to happen to me all the time when I go and fill up the tank and then park the car. I'm not sure if it's comng from the charcoal filter thingy or what but never any signs of leakage or gas spillaed around the filler cap. If the car is a couple of gallons or more from being full, no problem. I have just accepted it.......can't wait to hear from others with this issue.

I have had the same strong fuel odor after parking my '98 C-5 in the garage. It doesn't matter if the the tank is full or not. Seems to be comming from the fuel cap area, but I'm not certain. Fuel leakage at the fuel filter is sometimes the culprit, but not in my case. Any suggestiions would be appreciated.
