Rim/tire fitment question
I own an 03 C5 50th anniversary model and have a dilemna with rims/tires. I wanted to widen the stance of the rear so I bought 3/8" spacer plates but found out it's not as simple as removing rotor and installing longer studs.
My mechanic is telling me it can be done but the knuckle needs to be removed as well. Too much labor time and cost for me.
My question is will a 10.5" wide rim (with standard 56mm offset) fit without rubbing on my car? I can then pass on needing the longer studs and spacer plates. Thanks for any help with this. My rear rims are 18's.
