How many have just eliminated the warming wire that clamps around the PCV VALVE on the LS1? Mine is a 2001 & I live in the warm climate of Mesa Az. 🙏

I assume not many people. What would be the purpose?

Thank you guys for responding to my question.
I figured it would not equate to any horsepower gain. I’ve never heard of a PCV valve freezing. I do see the purpose of that wire, but it would take quite a while for the heat from the head to warm that wire, and then travel up to the clamp that fits around the PCV valve, and if you accidentally cut that PCV valve boot, then you have to find a replacement adapter boot for the PCV valve. And since I live in the warm climate, I am going to leave the wire off and see if there are any adverse conditions.
👍🙏

Thanks, Lenny 72. Unfortunately, that boot is not available as a separate unit. You have to buy the whole assembly to get the exact factory boot that encases the PCV valve.
However, someone posted that they found this item at O’Reilly’s auto parts, he even listed the number I went down to O’Reilly‘s yesterday and got the part that he listed and it fits great.

This boot will take the place of the PCV valve boot on the LS1 engines, in case yours comes apart or disintegrates, etc.. I picked the same one up at O’Reillys yesterday and it works great.
