Default Quick question about torque tube interchange

Somewhat recently I made a thread that started with a specific question in regards to using an aluminum flywheel followed by asking for general type suggestions for other PM items to address while the trans/rear assy is down.

One of the suggestions I received was to have the torque tube refurbished with new isolators and bushings etc….(currently there are no issues with it btw).

However, my general policy is to always upgrade when replacing anything……after an internet search I did come across something interesting; apparently the c7 uses a carbon fiber torque tube assy.

-Feel free to correct me on this but is the Torque Tube assy 2 pieces?

- -Ive seen mention of both the torque tube itself and another item referred to as a “prop assembly”?

-Does the c7 torque tube assy interchange directly with the c5 at all?

-Can it do what I call a hybrid interchange with a c5?

- -I.e. a c7 torque tube with a c5 prop assy or vice versa?

-If is no direct or hybrid interchange then lastly can the c7 torque tube be modified to be accepted into a c5 platform?

Lastly, unrelated to the interchange mentioned above……are there any benefits to consider by using different materials for the torque tube assembly?

-aka I see the isolators are rubber; any benefit to using a more durable isolator material such as polyurethane?

Many thanks.
