Thanks to the great instructions posted my jmx, I’m ready to upgrade my sway bars from stock. Which bars are best for improving the handling, but still not make the car ride like a wagon?
Z06 bars, bushings and metal end links from Ken Fitchner. I have the F45 suspension and the sway bars made a great improvement and added no harshness to the ride.

I have an '02 Coupe and bought the Z06 bars from fichtner(which have not come yet). does the '02 have metal endlinks from the factory? and does the Z06 bars come with bushings?
I beleive the 02's do have metal endlinks from the factory, but I haven't confirmed it yet. My dealer told me they only have one part# available for all C5's in 2002 for endlinks, so I assume that means you'll have the aluminum ones. If you go look under the back of your car it'll take about 15 seconds to find out. If you do find out, let me know!
And I believe the bushings are seperate parts....You cant install the bars without the new bushings so hopefully fitchner took care of you and knew what you wanted.

I have an '02 Coupe and I can confirm that they come from the factory with metal endlinks. So the ones in the kit from Ken Fichtner aren't needed for your car. You can do what I did and sell them on the Forum to someone who wants to upgrade from plastic endlinks. The kit does come with bushings to match the bars, so you should be ready to go when it arrives.
If you do not mind the investment of some 550+ USD, then I say just one word : HOTCHKIS.
I, after long evaluation going back and forth, took the jump into the uncertainty and bought the complete set by THE LAPD. My opinion may be a little biased, but :
No harsh ride, not more road noise than before, no squeeking, no rattles, just more of very determined road keeping, body-roll close to zero.
Resultant : 100% satisfaction for the money plus relatively easy install. You shall have the Car on a Lift with rails to have the weight working on the suspension (correct setting of the variable height of the 4 heavy-duty metal end-links).
You also will get a pictured (color) instruction how to install them. Took my GM-Mech about 2 hours, but including a final check-up (if my memory does serve me well).
I do not hope, but I am absolutely sure, you will enjoy those. The HOTCHKIS will move your Car some closer to the behaviour of a Go-Kart.......ENJOY.
I bought the Z-06 bars from Fichtner that didn't come with endlinks because i was pretty sure the '02's came with metal endlinks. But wasn't sure about the bushings. i think the total cost was about $180 shipped. Next i think i'll try the shocks and lower it at the same time.
Thanks for your input guys, I really appreciate it.
