Hey guys I'm trying to remove the e b c m in my 99 and I can only find post in my searching regarding the newer models. All of the post I find refer to six screws holding on the ebcm but for the life of me I can only find four on my car. Can someone tell me for sure whether the 1999 has four screws or six holding the ebcm on the pump? I removed those four and that sucker sure is stuck on there pretty good Thank you very much
Got it figured out. Just wanted to update since I was not able to find anything when I was searching. On the 99 there is a mount that has a nut going to it on the bottom passenger side of the ebcm. Once you remove that nut and mount there is a brass colored piece sticking out where the mount was attached. That takes a Torx driver to remove which is the same size as the other four. Just wanted to update in hopes of helping someone in the future

Cbib,
First, thank you for this post. I tried to remove my EBCM on my C5 and I could not find six bolts either. I did the notice the mount and then stopped to research. I have some follow-up questions. I hope you can answer them.
1) Did you fix your issue?
2) Where you able to open the unit and repair it yourself?
3) Did you drill a hole the case, tap it, and use it to open the case?
4) Is it a total of 5 bolts holding it on or was it just the one mount? I found some for sale and the four bolts on the same side as the mount appear to be holding the unit together.
