I just installed power steering rack in stock 2003 z06 vette. I replaced h/b, seal, new inner /outer tie rods and boots. I was able to get the top power line from the pump on. I cannot get the bottom power steering line on (from the p/s cooler.
I tried for 30 min. All by hand so nothing is stripped
Shall I remove top one and try bottom line first?
should I remove p/s line from p/s cooler and try reverse
1 put lower power steering line on first. Also unbolt the p/s cooler and let it hang. This take all the tension out of the line and makes it easier to go in.
2 then put upper p/s line from the pump on. This line goes under the steering column.
clean all threads and lube with grease. All lines have to go into my hand 100% of the time before you use any wrench.

My only advice was going to be that getting the thread started is a bear because of line tension messing with you while trying to hold it perfectly lined up at the same time as using the other hand on the wrench.
