Default Parking/night running lights

Hey everyone,

Tonight while out with the wife I couldn't get my parking/running lights to come on with my headlights and fog lights. I just recently put in LED for everything and it was all functional during and after installation, I made sure. Tonight at first when I selected the parking lights on the stalk it would click a bunch of times in the passenger footwell and the fog lights would blink almost like a strobe light for a second or two. Now a few hours later it's not even trying to turn on the parking lights front or rear side markers but the tails are very very dimly lit. When I unlock the car with the key fob, everything is super bright and works great. DRLs work fine when the lights on the stalk are not selected. Hazards and turn signals work great. Brake lights bright as the sun.

I have vettelights G3 tails and laser side markers with hyperflash harness. Front markers are some LED bulbs from Amazon.

Any ideas on what I might check? Relays? I don't think anything is installed incorrectly as it worked like a charm for a week. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

The culprit might be those cheap(Chinese?) Amazon led bulbs, trow them away and install Vette light front corner led assembly including sequential turn signals. You’ll be happy

I'm not a fan of how those look so I opted to get different housings with LED bulbs. I'm just confused as to why the lights work when I unlock and lock the car but not when I turn on the lights on the switch. I don't fully understand how the car is wired.

Well after fiddlin around with it today, the lights work just fine when I have the twilight option turned on. So that leaves the issue with the multifunction stick/headlight switch. Guess I should have tried a little harder before asking on here!

Anyone ever repaired these rather than shell out a few hundred bucks for a new one?

Howdy! I repair these switches with new contacts via eBay. I can give better pricing with a PM. Otherwise, some have found varied luck bending the bad contacts.
