My Star III is starting to make noise though it doesn't slip, I am going to have to address the HYD sticking clutch, probably with an adj master, diff slave and line, I am thinking I may as well go ahead and do a clutch as well, I am quite interested in the Ram 900 series clutch package which I believe includes the HYD system which should eliminate all my clutch problems, wondering if anyone has any experience with a Ram setup at this point. I am doing internals etc shortly and may as well do something while my car is down and it may save a little labor as well.
I have the Ram clutch and love it. It has held all of 620rwtq and 550rwhp on drag radials. On prepped tracks I have seen 1.61-1.69 60's launching easy. I have about 25 passes on the clutch and no slippage or dead pedal.

Do you know who has the best price on this? Does it work with the aluminum flywheel. The Star clutch seems like you are buying a problem from what I have seen. Trying to find the best solution the works consistantly.
My star has started making noise and since I'm doing some serious mods shortly I am thinking about replacing since I have to address the sticky problems anyway it would be very little addional labor to put in the new clutch and you can order the upper end 900 series ram with an aluminum flywheel--and they require their adj MC and their slave(i Think, I'll find out tom.)
I am getting ready for a clutch upgrade myself. I printed out some information from an older thread. I checked the on line catalog for summit racing, I believe the part # was 4021550N for the 402 PPlate and 6130 disc and I believe you would need to upgrade to an adjustable master cylinder.
