Same thing happend to me. I was having several problems with my vette, I had just got it back from the dealer, drove it one day and the previous problems returned. Early Saturday morning I got up to drive 30 miles to the dealer...... I was 1/2 mile from the house and the vette went nuts.
I was driving car and all of a sudden DIC says reduced engine power, ...low tire pressure...
Mine also said to "service traction control system"
I pulled in a lot shut car off ....waited a few minutes and turned car on and fine since......
I did the same thing. Car was fine.
The dealer fixed the electrical problems I was having and they said that is what caused the car to freak....
I got the 2000 new...nothing but a headache...oil usage, etc....had it for 2 yrs and sold it to a car dealer.....was going to get a new 02 but dealer jerked me around one too many times with prices....the last straw was when I left work early and had a friend come to pick me up to go to Kerbeck.....only to get a call right before I left that they had made yet another "pricing error" and wanted $2700 more..........after that I decided to just look for a mint pre-owned car.......just so happened that I came across my 99 wioth only 6k miles on it.....all options and the magnesiums made up for it looking outdated.....I made the best decision since most of the depreciation had hit already....there is also a rumor that 99's have a hp advantage over other yrs.....I doubt the validity!
