The air leak is on the driver's side at the top of the back edge of the window and becomes noticeable at higher speeds, particularly with crosswinds. Positioning of the windows to the top and seals on both sides of the car appear to be identical but only the driver's side has the air leak. The seals appear to be in good condition and I've treated them in the short time I've had the car. My initial guess is that because the driver's side window and door receive much more use, the window is loose. Does that make sense, and is adjusting the window a common issue? Or is it more likely that I need to adjust the top?
I would start with small window adjustments, and if that does not fix it, then adjust the top. There are many youtube videos from others that have done it. I just replaced my passenger window regulator and had to make some adjustments for the same reason.
Is it a difference if you out the window up with the door opened and closed? Mine has a similar issue if I close the door with the window up. I just went ahead nd ordered the window valet that allows me to putt the windows up or down remotely. Makes getting easier too

No, I don't believe there's any difference. Placement of the window in the seal is the same in either case as well.
