heads and cam package suggestions

I have an 02 vert. I have been told I dont need heads with an 02 beacause it came with the ls6 heads stock. is this true.

I'd say you have a LS6 block with LS1 heads.

NO, and even if did come with ls6 heads they can still be ported to make some serious hp. I really hope that the dealer didnt tell you that :nonod:

maybe they meant you had the LS6 intake manifold Stock.... not the heads.

You have intake and block Z06 but heads and cam are LS1 There is a performance upgrade that dosen't upset your warranty which includes the heads and cam. I was quoted 3800 out the door.

:iagree: Most likely you have the intake and block. . .not heads.

LS1 heads have #241 cast in them. You can find this number on the passenger side of the car at the front of the head where it meets the block.
LS6 heads are #246. Can someone confirm these numbers?
