Thank you. I can see part of the tube from under the car but, not actually where the tube inserts into the block, much less get my hand in there to guide it.
Did you have to remove anything else such as the starter maybe?

Starter stayed in. You can’t see where it goes in from under the car, and you can’t guide it either. Fun, huh? The exhaust needs to be separated from the manifold, and the manifold from the head. The hole is roughly even with the end of the starter. I recall using a mirror from above to get a look at the hole for reference. Highly recommend the mirror thingy.
I used a length of pvc and set one end over the front of the engine and the other end on the fender. Then, I ran bungee cords over the pvc and hooked through the manifold to suspend it in place while fishing the tube back in. This allows you some maneuvering room without trying to hold it up at the same time. After that you just need to slide it around until you feel it snag the hole. Then push like hell. I think I, gently, put a Vice grip on the tube…don’t crush it… to tap the wrench for downward pressure.
This job is frustrating, no getting around it. Keep plugging away and you’ll get it.
Thank you soooh much!!! I can work with that. I think I'll restyle a different kind of bracket on the tube while I have it off. This current setup only works once for my liking.

I actually had to ground off a corner of the bracket to clear the manifold. You just can’t make this stuff up.
