Magnasteer Actuator Failed
This is my first post as a forum member, I have been lurking on here for a couple of years and using the collective knowledge of the group to diagnose and repair my 2004 base manual coupe. Recently I purchased a remanufactured rack and pinion and within short order (less than 50 miles) the Magnasteer actuator failed. I checked the codes, got C1241, I then pulled the plug from the actuator and checked the resistance, I show an open circuit with my meter. My question is, what is the possibility that my ECBM killed the actuator? The company that I bought the rack from is going to warranty the rack and pinion but what I don't want to happen is having to pull this rack out a third time.
