04 F55 ghost 80MPH limiter fixed!
I purchased an 04 C5 with the original F55's replaced with Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks. I performed all of the 04 specific Tech Tool steps multiple times but the 80MPH limiter kept returning.
What finally worked?
Shout out to Brad at Garrett Tuning who had a couple of long, informative conversations with me to keep me on the right path after months of frustrated attempts to resolve this.
- Performed all of the steps including the correct harness removal actions
- Disconnected the battery
- Reinstalled F55 module, re-performed removal steps (more times than I recall)
- Removed the battery terminals from the battery, zip tied them together and waited 10 minutes
What finally worked?
- Removed the battery terminals from the battery, zip tied them together overnight.
