Default X-Pipe Comparison

I have done quite a bit of searching and could not find what I was looking for. I am wanting to remove the H-Pipe and install an X-Pipe on my C5. I have been eyeballing the Borla X-Pipe however I see West Coast Corvette sells an X-Pipe, under their name, for about $125 less than the Borla. Anybody on the forum using WCC's X-Pipe?? Really just wondering which is the better quality and better sounding X-Pipe or if they would give pretty similar results. I am also installing a set of Hooker shorties (wish I could go LT) and the car already has a MagnaFlow catback. Any insight would be helpful in making this decision.

Thanks all!

X pipes sre X pipes. The sound will be the same.

Now quality and fit can vary.

I would recommend to match the x pipe to the back half system to be sure everything is lined up. The front is cut to what you have.

While I agree with hyperv6 that the performance will be so close to identical as to make no difference, I will note that the flanges tend to vary some from brand to brand. They should be common, since everything is supposed to be backwards and forwards compatible, but typically aren't quite. Which means a Magnaflow X-pipe may seal the best to the Magnaflow cat back.
Or it may not mater at all what so ever.

Makes sense, MagnaFlow X-Pipe to MagnaFlow cat-back, should have zero bolt-up issues. Unfortunately the MagnaFlow X-pipe is $100 more than the Borla X-pipe and $200 more than the WCC X-pipe. West Coast Corvette is right here in my backyard, if they are okay with returns I could by their X-pipe or the Borla X-pipe and if it does not want to match up to the cat-back it would be easy enough to go return it and buy the MagnaFlow.

Borla uses band claps and if you cut it properly they seal well.

Most of this is just quality of fit and welds.

Borla, as well as MagnaFlow, are both well known name brands, which is why I was leaning toward Borla and will probably go that route, was really curious if anybody had used the WCC unit and could provide details on quality and fitment. A no-name brand such as the WCC X-pipe might have the same quality without paying for the brand name, or maybe not. Of all these three, I need to verify if Borla is the only brand that clamps in or if all three are clamps....I don't have a welder.
