that's within my budget it so if that's all true then I'll go that route.
Just curious, Which cam are you going with?
If you cannot find a set of 243 heads you can go TSP Brawler, which are new, made in the USA, New springs/retainers, CNC ported with CNC 5 angle valve-job, 64 cc's chamber should net 10.5 C/R, just like the 243 heads.

When you are buying head bolts, they are block specific, NOT head specific...

It's not a bad cam at all. I just steer clear of the marketing names and chop cams.

Well this weekend I put on some stuff. blacked out all the lighting, front valance and side skirts.

I like the look more then I thought I would. When I ordered the stuff I wasn't sure I was going to like those side skirts but seeing them up close and on.. they look nice.

Took it on a two hour cruise to a cars and coffee event and so far no over heating or issues so that's a good thing. Next thing is for finish up the side vents I'm making for the wide body panels i bought and get those glassed in and painted. updates soon hopefully

blacked out side markers, fog light, tailights, rims/tires. wide body rear quarters, new stereo system with subs, fabbing up some rear side well speaker housings for a pair of 8" to handle some really loud mids, had the windows tinted last weekend. side skirts and front valance(or whatever name of that piece is)

with the mods that are done to it and adding a cam and intake with everything.. i think i'll have a pretty fun ride.

suspension upgrades will come later as i do race my cars at Gratan raceway in Michigan often and suspension is needed for those corners.

this is a link to my C6 Gransport from a couple years ago at the track. https://youtu.be/jOZT-06Dn1U?si=4EwFHCkVyDDCPMgN

Man I miss Grattan. I've done several Track Days on my motorcycles, but with a Convertible C5, doesn't look like I'll ever get there to have some fun.

Well I'm almost done. I ended up using stuff i had on my shelf and only thing i bought for the project was the head unit which ended up being a Sony.

So Skar amp behind the driver seat to power the 15" Skar sub. behind the passenger seat is the Clarion amp that will power the component speakers. The component speakers consist of JL Audio 6.5" in the rear and up front in the doors is a SWS 8" with a Kicker DS 3.5". both these are ran through the JL Audio crossover.

I took out the single din center console and replaced it with the double din console off ebay.. fitment was pretty good and install was easy.

Not sure how it sounds yet and I'm sure it will need some good tuning to get all these different brands what not to blend but for my weekend cruiser.. it will work

As long as the amp is free hanging and not screwed into the fuel tank.

Been a while.. so I had a small oil drip on my garage floor and thought I'd just quickly take off the oil pan and put on a new gasket.. till I seen what all has to be lowered to get the oil pan off so since all that work is required.. I ordered a cam and picked up some 243 heads which I'm going to have worked.

also .. not to much progress on the rear fenders.. had a very busy winter. I was really hoping to do everything while it was cold but we helped start a church in our area and it just took up a lot of my time.

upgrading the component speakers, picked up some grand sport rims to go with the wide body, bought some powder coated calipers, cam(BTR stage 2) , ls6 intake, heads, oh and going with the flush mound headlights.. my passenger side module went out and i just decided to do away with the flip ups.

I think that's all the updates with the car..
