Default Did I buy the wrong clutch?

Hello friends,
I’m changing my clutch and I noticed that the clutch pads looked different. I bought the center force 381017 off of summit racing and the website stated it fit my car but what I pulled out was a luk clutch pad. Will the center force still work?

If your only concern is that the friction material on one disk has slots cut in it, while the friction material of the other disk does not have these slots, then this difference is irrelevant.

That said, it is worth tracking down the p/n to determine the intended application. The disk appears to have the correct spline count, so it is almost certainly intended for a GM vehicle.

my main concern is that the new clutch is slightly smaller than the old one. I’m just wondering if the difference in size will make it unusable. Multiple websites list this clutch as a direct fit for my car so should I just bolt it on and see how she goes?

The manufacturer's website lists p/n 381017 as applicable to 1997-2004 corvette base and ZO6.

By size, are you referring to the overall diameter of the friction material, or the difference between the overall diameter and the inner diameter (aka width of the face) of the friction material. What are the differences in these measurements from one disk to the other?
Note that minor differences are not unusual and should not be a reason for concern.
