Default Memory problem

hi.. 02 Z06, just started doing this, start up and dic and hvac revert to English/Imperial, and did always comes up total miles. I have used the E/M every time and still wont save it in Metric. I have read all the threads I believe and tried most of them, to no avail. Today I start same, 5 minutes later I start and needed to move it, it was in Metric, went back out hours later and turned the key on and sure enough it went back to Imperial and was showing total miles, not where I left it at oil temp in gauges. I m stumped on this one.. Like i mentioned, 6 yrs of ownership and this is the first time starting this..I might add the battery is only 4.5yrs old and only gets used 6-8 mo a yr and is on a tender, that being said I did the load test on it today, just under 13v connected, under load it drops off to 10.25v. Am thinking this is not the issue for the memory dic, but can t be sure..
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
TIA

Every once in a while I get lucky, but batteries tend to last only about 5 years. At 4.5 years old, your battery "doesn't owe you anything."
And, 10.25V is a problem. I'm surprised that the car starts.
That said, I've never experienced the problems that you describe on my '03 Z06, when my batteries have drifted off to the bone orchard.
BTW - The car is also at that age where all of the main chassis grounds and ground splices should get a little TLC. There are several vids on the youtube showing their locations.
Is the car storing any codes?

From anything i read10.25 under load is good, shows 13v when just hooked up, so i m sure its ok, my load tender says when it gets to 9.6 @ 40deg, its time to pitch it. still rolls over fine.. No codes. I did all the grounds. 2yrs ago, so i m sure they are ok.

Our cars are very sensitive when it comes to low batteries. This sounds like a typical low/bad battery problem

Really does sound like a weak battery in the car.

Well after doing a lot of searching yesterday, found some old threads with same issue, Tried some of them a cpl times to no avail, came across one from the Legend, Bill Curlee, saying, apply the settings you want, then hit the memory but and wait for the flashes, do mem1 and 2. did that yesterday afternoon, checked last night and saved, checked this morning and they were still saved. I was under the impression that the door memory buttons would only work for seats, and steering wheel, if you had electronic one. I was thinking the battery is still good, my friend replaced is Delco battery after 7 yrs and it is still good, he just changed it, so i was going to grab it and leave it in my car for a few days after changing setting and see if it mattered, so far no need to do that,,, yet. So far so good, will check a cpl more times today and see if it is still saved..
Thanks for all the suggestions and replies..

Those memory functions are sometimes a PITA that way. I use memory 3 (both 1 & 2) as an easy exit when I want to leave the car running - I'm short and need the seat way up to reach the pedals. When I just used that yesterday it turned the A/C on high. :-\

I don t have memory seats, after market only now. so the only thing mem is good for mirrors,, but there may be some hidden thing somewhere, that people don t know about, the memory buttons can save settings for other things.

Even tho the battery showed ok and started fine and was charging fine, I bit the bullet last week and put a new battery in.Group 78.
Solved the minor issue, but maybe was on borrowed time and that was the first sign

thanks to everyone for help and feedback..
