Along with several other modifications that are about to go on my car, I am considering TPIS headers. At this time, I have an opportunity to purchase a used set of headers from an '01 vette.
Here are my questions:
1. Will the headers from an '01 vette work on my '02. . .
2. Are the TPIS headers a good choice compared to the other options that are available?

Yes..and they are a good choice. Many members have had them with no problems..including me!
BTW..you should look into some 02 simulators..

Change the front O2 sensors during the install, it's a pain after they are in.
There where problems with the headers 2-3 years ago, which i believe have been dealt with..I have them, they gained around 18 hp on a stock engine, no problems with them, and they work great with the blower..Also you will chop off 27 lbs without the precats enjoy
I called MTI in Houston yesterday. They said that on my 01' with the mods I have very minimal with just Vararam and Straight thru mufflers, that the underdrive pulleys and the TPIS headers might yield me 20-22RWHP and about the same RWTQ. For $1975 installed, I do not see LT headers from MTI in my future.
$1975 installed, thats crazy. I've seen them as low as $850 shipped from LAPD at one time and I can't see it costing more than 400 to install TPIS headers.
I totally agree. Some guy named Chris was who answered the phone. I have heard that MTI is very reputable, but I get a different price everytime I call. I do have to admit that they do the TPIS headers and the underdrive pulley for that $ figure... but still with only 20-22RWHP for both mods at once. I better get Dyno tuning and a very comfortable chair for when they are done with me.
I don't have a lift and the right tools. I think the process might be a bit more involved than I would be comfortable doing. Otherwise, I would love to give it a shot.

No. I had them for 2 weeks and yanked them off. They're cheap, period. You get what you pay for. A lot of great systems out there right now, just shop around. I have the Belangers and love them, but that's just my preferance. Good luck.

Re: TPIS Headers - Thoughts??? (0-60N4)
Here's MTI's pricing:
TPIS headers-----------$895
install--------------------$500
pulley--------------------$279
install--------------------$112 (at time of header install, $250 if done separately)
I had TPIS headers on my coupe and was very pleased with them. I got a nice gain and didn't have any problems with the install or cracking tubes. The only downside is that you have to cut your H-pipe. I wanted to remove the headers before I sold the car and couldn't find a replacement H-Pipe. I have the FLP's on my Z and have been pleased with them as well.
I am thinkign of a set as well. I am 1st getting my SY3500 ordered to go in with my 3.42's which I already have.
Headers seem to be a nice mod that allow other mods to work in harmony. If I stay on course with my mod plans I will later in 2003 add a cam, then the headers will really be needed to take full advantage of the cam. My friend told me I would acomplish the same thing as headers by just removing the Cats and welding an X-Pipe. Our buddy got 15 rwhp from doing that but otehr say you don't? If I have the choice and $$ isn't an option, then Headers are the way to go.
TPIS seem to be a great header for the money and there are almost Zero complaints, at least now that all the issues have been worked out.

HOLY CRAP!!!! you are not kidding... It took me no less than 1 hr to remove each one...And I used the special O2 removal tool  1/16 of a turn till they were all out.
The new ones went in easy. But tightening them was a biotch too...1/16 of a turn...
