C5 difficult to put in reverse

C5 difficult to put in reverse
It seems like its getting worse. My M6 C5 doesn't want to go in reverse. I try re-engaging the clutch and it doesn't help. Any ideas? :confused:

When my 6 speed was getting difficult to get into reverse, I found if I put it in 3rd first it would then go into reverse fairly easily.

This is what works for me. Put trans in 1st shift to 2nd then over to reverse. I don't ever have any problems when doing this.

The problem is probably adjustment on the shaft that goes back to trans.

Do you have the crappy stock shifter?
Mine gave me problems finding reverse.
Replaced it with a Hurst and ALL problems are gone.
Positive shifts so you always know what gear you are in.
No missed shifts to 3rd.
No binding while shifting in a corner.
Goes right into reverse like it should.
The Hurst rocks.
Best mod for the $$
