I want to use an aa supercharger on my car in the future , can I use the stock balancer or should I upgrade it? And with what brand? And size?
Yes, you can use an OE harmonic damper. ATI and Summit dampers are probably the most popular. These are both SFI rated, which is important if you plan to race and/or beat on the car.
Most importantly, with a supercharger application, you will want to drill and pin the damper in place.
Have a look at "C&S Corvette" on the youtube. They have a couple of vids on dampers.
If you are putting that kind of money into your car, I would definitely spend another couple hundred and have a new balancer installed/pinned while you are getting the SC installed. The rubber does wear out on the stockers and eventually it will "wobble". You don't want wobble under load especially since you are adding another pulley to the system. This is one of those things that is only ~250 bucks now but could cause you a lot of heartburn in the future if it failed. You are already working in the front of the car for the SC install anyway, so this is the cheapest labor time to do it!

Powerbond here- 5 years plus so far. Just the base balancer which is pretty common to use, I have only heard one person say they know someone with one of these that failed.... SFI costs double.
Long course road racing with extended high RPM, I would probably go with a better one.
its just a weekend car for some fun, not tracking it!! do you have a part number?? i love your youtube channel
There are links to it in the description of most of my videos. It's a well known balancer, highly regarded by most. Powerbond makes a SFI rated balancer as well - they are of course more durable and a must for some race series (tech requirement).
They also cost a lot more. Your call. IMO "Cheaping Out" would be buying some no name china balancer. The Powerbond has a good reputation - which says a lot.
