I can´t wait to have this engine in my car and running!!!
BTW, thanks a lot to MattG who helped me to decide on that spring.
He´s always very helpful, although it´s not an ARE engine!!!!!! :smash:
I have some pictures from the engine, but I´ll post them all together, when the engine is ready and I have it in my car. I´ll put them on my homepage, then and post a link.
All I can say is that Shirl does some magic to this engine and it will be a blast to have it in my car.
Can´t wait!!!
BTW, here´s to Shirl and his knowledge....:smash:  :smash:
Re: update on my 422 iron block engine build (Buckmaster)
Shirl is no doubt the consumate and 'silent' LS1 guru. he has reverse-engineered this motor then applied 40+ years of motor and mechanical engineering to work. Putting all that aside, it was his exteme attention to detail, his love for the build and the fact that he does all the work himself that sold me. no assembly line here!! Michael, you will be very happy with that motor. you will be the envy of Austria. When is the delivery date?

Hey Michael,
congrats and good luck with the new engine. By the time it is installed the weather will finally be good enough to actually put any of that power to actual use.

I'm glad it's almost done. I also can't wait to see how that Monster runs.
I know about waiting and it's not fun. I'm pretty much ready to go, I'm just waiting for the roll cage to get here. Our tracks open in 1 month.
I went out today and bought a Trailer to haul that Dam car around. When does it end? I will never get out of debt :cry

Tom,
I may invest in a trailer, too.
I´m getting lazy to install the drag setup at the track.
With a trailer, I set the car ready for the track, at home.

I'm going to try the Wolfe 6 point bolt in, mild steel, painted black. I don't really want to put in a cage, but I know I should. I think once the cage is installed, it's no longer a street car. It will make my wife happy, I think
