Whats the best coilover kit I can buy for a reasonable price? I dont have much knowledge on them. I see some kits for $1,000 but I don't wanna cheap out and have them fail. Or should I just run aftermarket shocks and springs? Thanks!
Really depends on why you want coil overs. I autocross my car and went with these purchased thru Strano. Ridetech I before I bought these I had the Koni Sport shocks on my Z06. They were much better than stock but I never felt good about the way you adjusted them. They say 9 sweeps but mine would only go 6. Also I wanted to replace all the worn out and cracked rubber that is part of the leaf spring system and be able to increase or reduce spring rates. With the Ridetech system, or other coil overs, you can choose spring rates, since mine is for autocross I choose the middle rate, 450 front, 500 rear. Also Ridetech is made in the USA unlike many of the cheaper shocks that are made in China. I am happy with my upgrade. I also went with Borg delrin control arm bushings at the same time. I bought the expensive Teflon impregnated ones but they still squeak. For a street only car I would stay with rubber bushings and the softer springs offered by Ridetech.

What is the intended purpose, and how much are you willing to spend? "Reasonable price" is relative.
Check out Viking Performance coil overs. I think they are around $2K and are great quality. I still have leaf springs, but I run their shocks on my track car.

I just the idea of being able to adjust my ride height for better “fitment” but at the same time the most extreme my driving gets is through corners on backroads. Im looking into autocross near me but thats about it. Im really looking to spend 1000 or something close to it. Hope thats helps.

What type of "better fitment." are you trying to achieve? For $1000.00 coil over shocks, you will most likely end up with a set of useless poor fitting set of shocks. The stock suspension is more than adequate for "corners on back roads." If your existing dampers are worn out, the Bilstein sport shocks are an excellent choice.
You're honestly not likely to find many good suggestions for cheap/budget coilovers here. Most popular budget setups I've seen the most are Silver's, BC, and Aldan. For what you want out of them, any of these will do just fine. I opted for Silver's after doing some research and I'm happy with them for what they are. There are countless threads to dig through if you're interested in doing more research as well.
Do your research. The C5 upper control arms don't have a lot of allowance for a coilovers. I've heard some kits have clearance issues and can be difficult to fit.
I can vouch for the Ridetech HQ kit. I've been running it for about a year now with 600/600 springs. Ride is pretty stiff because of those springs, but the car handles amazing, which is what I was after given that I track it often. Looks like the price went up a bit since I last looked - kit is about $2,400 new.
