Test for MAF Sensor
Wondering if there is an electrical test of some kind for the MAF sensor. Have a P0101 code reset after cleaning with proper cleaner. To avoid damage I did not touch wires with a cue tip as others have done. Before buying a new one (have no issue with that IF I do need) but would like to know it's defective before I do. Have 50k on '04 LS1 motor.
If there is not a test or I am unable to perform myself does it warrant another cleaning, perhaps with a cue tip this time?

Do you have a scan tool where you can look at the MAF sensor in Grams/Second and MAP voltage and Baro ??…do you have a DVOM where you can look at the MAF power, signal and ground ??…if you know how to back probe a connector that would be helpful…to figure out what the MAF value should be the PCM uses MAP, IAT, and RPM…if any of those sensors are skewed that may throw that DTC…I like doing a Volumetric Efficiency test that just takes going down the street to see if the MAF is performing properly.
