tapping noise on from left side...

tapping noise on from left side...
sound like something losing or whatever that is...but if i ran over a little pump on the road i hear noise like something losing tapping eachother. I can't identify wheather from the inside or outside, but it's somewhere on the left side of driver seat and/or close to the back wheel. Does this happen to anyone? do you have any ideas what to look for? Thanks!

Have you checked the cover for the gas cap? .... or maybe the Emergency brake cable smacking the bottom of the Vette.
Heck theres lots of things to make noise ... loose window, seatbelts ,seat movement.

Mine has a light metalic tapping noise that sounds like it is either under my seat or under the center console. It really sounds like it is coming from directly under the "waterfall" on the console. It is only apparent at certain temperatures. I think I have eliminated everything inside the car at this point. I know there are a number of tin cable lines that carry brake fluid, trans fluid etc. that run front to back in these cars, has anyone ever experienced them knocking together or on the transmission or something? This noise drives me nuts! :mad
