Spec stage 2 clutch kit - shifting issues
After 1.5 years off the road due to a broken rear differential and performing a complete drivetrain rebuild, my 03 C5Z is finally back on the road again. There's one issue though, the clutch is dragging. Verified by raising the RPM to 5000 rpm in gear with the clutch fully depressed, the car lurches forward 😢 Obviosly, the transmission and synchronizers are not happy - locking out gear shifts. Slave and master is bled using a remote bleeder and clutch pedal is firm. According to my measurements, a slave cylinder shim was not needed. The clutch is a SPEC stage II clutch with a lightened flywheel. Google search tells me that a Tick adjustable master is the only solution? I've put one on order, which became darn expensive ($430 when adding shipping and import taxes to Norway) - so I'm hoping that is money well spent?

I can't remember if I needed any shims on the slave cylinder when I did the clutch install but if you measured the air gap right then it SHOULD work? Regardless it is not working for you and not disengaging, therefore the only other option I see is to get an adj MC...
Just be sure to creep up on the pedal adjustment as to not over-throw the slave.
I did repairs backwards. My clutch pedal stuck to the floor one day and no bleeding was fixing it. I put a Tick Adj unit in and still didn't fix it (cheaper and easier than a clutch). That's when I looked at the clutch to find some of the PP fingers failed at ~75kmi. Then I put the SPEC clutch in and been happy ever since.
