Working on the car removing the PS rack and the cooler line with the 18mm nut is ON. I feel like I am about to round off the nut and it will not budge. Any suggestions? I’m almost debating cutting it and dealing with it out of the car and just replacing the whole line. Thanks.
You can certainly get new lines from Rockauto or such if you need to cut.
All I can offer is make sure you're using a flare nut wrench, or flare nut crows foot. Those grip that nut the best.
that’s what I’m using, I’m afraid if I keep at it it will round it off then I’m boned lol. I may just cut it and order a new line. That’s prob the safest bet.
Update, I tried penetrating oil etc the problem was it was on so so tight that with the flare nut wrench the nut was rounding off. So before that happened I ordered a replacement and today after struggling with unseating the PS rack (forgot to take out the 4 ABS bracket bolts), I cut it pushed it across the pax side then pulled it up and out the engine bay. Had to hammer on an 18mm socket and used the impact on it but it’s out and done.
